it is made of aluminum and appears to be of good quality. There are eight rare-earth magnets on the top of it which stick to the metal bottom of the Show 8 quite well (you can see four of them in the photo). The up and down tilt and horizontal swivel allow positioning of the Show at an optimal viewing angle.
