1 Kg ready-to-use halved shells of the soap nut, i.e. soap berry tree (Sapindus mukorossi) fruits. The shells contain up to 15 percent saponins and are being used for centuries in India for washing clothes and hair;
in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine soap nuts are even considered as an effective remedy.
For Laundry washing, the shells are placed in a small cotton bag - wash sachet - which is then placed in the washing machine drum. Depending on the washing temperature and hardness of the water, 3-7 nut shell halves can be sufficient for a washing machine run. When washing up to 40°C, the sameshells can even be used for two wash cycles. Sonsiderably cheaper than conventional detergents!
Soap nuts do not have any water-softening or textile-bleaching effect and do not release odors to the laundry. Excellent washing power, preserves integrity of fabric fibers and keeps the color intensity of your laundry for a longer period of time. Suitable for all textiles and washing temperatures, i.e. 30-95°C, both for white and colorful (or dark) laundry. The laundry is pleasantly soft with a neutral scent.
The brew of water-boiled soap nuts can be used as laundry or dishwasher detergent, as shampoo and body wash for shower and as bath additive or as a general-purpose cleaner for your household, for a gentle and thorough cleaning. Also suitable for sensitive skin and for people suffering allergy sufferers.
